By developing a variety of Kindle tablets the company was able to deliver e-books to their customers and give them this access on the go at all times.The initial Amazon Kindle originated as strictly a reading device in 2007. It was quite basic enabling the reading of books and downloading of new books from the Amazon store. It did not have color and a wide variety of applications but rather promoted the very basic concept of having the capacity to read anywhere and hold a big library in a little device. This content for the Kindle originates from Amazon's large library of electronic content. Users can easily buy reading materials and also have them wirelessly downloaded to their device instantly.As the years continued Amazon created a number of Kindle devices, all of which interest different users. Some wish to simply read books while some enjoy accessing news and current events, magazines, email and the net.The Kindle by Amazon competes against the Nook by Barnes & Noble and the iPad by Apple. Both the Nook and Kindle started out as reading devices but as increasing numbers of people are turning to tablets and other hand-held computers, reading devices have become a thing of days gone by as do-it-all tablets dominate.The Kindle Fire, the latest of the Amazon Kindle options, has color, usage of the web, apps, games, news and magazines and much more. Not all readers enjoy this advance. Many original users of the Kindle just like the fact that it is a device strictly for reading. As one man who owned a genuine Kindle put it, "I acquired the Kindle to read, not for all the extras. I don't like all the new features on the newer ones. It's too distracting. I sit back to read and before very long I'm checking and answering email, reading through to news stories and doing everything but reading."On the converse, many people enjoy the ability to carry their entire library on the go while also accessing the rest of their life.
