    NECA Pennywise Figure Review

Based on the cult horror film, this figure from NECA is a must-have for all those who enjoyed IT. The figure features Bill Skarsgard's performance as Pennywise The 7-inch scale figure recreates his costume from the movie in spectacular detail.

It's well-crafted, featuring finely sculpted puffed arms as well as lace collars and wrist wraps. Pennywise Costume is perfect for a demon clown. The painting is excellent too with a great combination of bright colors and dark gray shades.

The head design is great and has the teeth and fangs and a sly grin. It isn't quite as accurate as Curry's Pennywise however, it does a good job at capturing the character's expression and look.

pennywisecostume is extremely articulated, featuring double-ball neck joints, the upper biceps sliced off, a ball-and post waist and knee joints that are double-ball. Most of the body has ball-and-post joints, and an additional articulation hidden in the ankles.

The hands are well constructed, with an array of claws that are massive as well as a right hand that is designed to hold the balloon string that he comes equipped with. Nine are included and can be easily swapped.

Pennywise Wig is very impressive as well, with excellent diorama-style that's actually inspired by the sewer drains located in Derry, Maine. The water from the sewer swirls around it, and there's a grassy space over it. This really makes it stand out from the crowd and adds an extra visual appeal!

The packaging is gorgeous, and has an open flap that folds exactly like the Dancing Clown from the movie. The front of the box shows off a lot of details of the figure, and the back shows off some different poses of the character.

It is important to note that the articulation on this figure is more difficult than the other NECA figurines. The ankles of this figure aren't particularly strong, and he could eventually be thrown over. The hands that he can interchange could also fall out without any force.

He's also quite heavy for his size, so you'll need a holder for him or else he'll be able to fall off if you attempt to support him against something. Also, you should be aware that the double-ball joints in the arms will require a small amount of force to open them, and the hand which can be used interchangeably for holding the balloon requires some folding in order to be able to hold the string with a firm grip against the cuff.

NECA has created a few of 7-inch figures this year. This is the best one so far. It features a fantastic sculpt of Pennywise's outfit from the film, and it comes with a lot of accessories, including three heads as well as a balloon, paper boat and more. Pre-order now at the local NECA or online!
