As some areas experienced more concentrated regions of contagiousness than others, people are understandably worried about venturing on the booked holidays, although UK is apparently one nation that is less apprehensive than others.

In line with the latest research conducted by Travelzoo, British folks are the least concerned about the impact of swine flu on their travel plans.

The organisation conducted a survey of 10,582 travellers in 24 regions over the UK, Germany, France and Spain which revealed that we now have vastly diverging attitudes towards swine flu, as British medical insurance customers are far less cautious about the danger posed by the virus.

Just seven % of Brits said they will change their travel plans due to it, in comparison to 21 per cent of Spaniards, 15 per cent of Germans and 14 % of French, the report revealed.

Sharron Livingston, editor at thetravelmagazine.net, said that folks from the united kingdom are renowned for keeping a stiff upper lip and not being deterred from their plans, but remarked that they might be putting themselves in peril, even if the virus will not affect them too badly.

"Swine flu is highly contagious and although fatalities have been reported, these are few in number. Swine flu, like any flu, will make you are feeling very ill, but it should pass after a few days of rest," she explained.

Ms Livingstone added that folks older than 65 are the most at risk and children, but advised private health cover holders with underlying conditions to consult doctors before venturing overseas.
