A Lone Worker Man Down Alarm will notify emergency contacts if a lone worker has fallen or become injured.

Many lone workers enter client homes, construction zones and travel between meetings - it is often not possible to remove fall hazards from new environments and so an effective fall detection system is necessary to protect your lone workers.

A Man Down Device works by using a sensor which may detect a change in position, lack of movement or sudden impact. If this happens, a notification can be sent to your lone workers’ employers to let them know that someone needs help.

It can also be set up to send a Man Down Alert to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) in the event that no response is received from the lone worker. These ARCs are staffed by security professionals who will receive the alert, attempt to reach out to the user and organise a response if necessary.

Safety Alarm They will then dispatch a team of medical and/or first responders to the location of the worker who needs assistance in order to get them out of danger and back to safety. This rapid response can save lives and can help meet the legal duty of care.

lone worker devices Man Down systems will also usually be set up to allow for a simple way for the lone worker to deactivate an alert if they are safe. This can be done by shaking the Man Down alarm or pressing a button to cancel an alert, in order to reduce false alarms and missed notifications from the device.
